I shared this post on eToro last week, but forgot to share it here. It is still relevant, so I will post it here now.

As we head into the US elections, I think it is important to remind ourselves that we must respect Democracy. As the political divide has grown, there is no longer any common ground between the parties. A change of power becomes essential to achieve balanced progress. In the past, I have been too passionate about elections especially in India but I have learnt this lesson the hard way.

A Trump victory seems priced in to the market, and even if he wins the market may drop in the short term as traders secure profits. It is equally likely to go other way too. If anyone claims to know how the market will react in short term, they are either lying or fooling themselves.
